I paint as a creative outlet to worship my Creator and to share what I experience in nature with others. Most of my paintings and artworks revolve around nature since I find nature to be a pure and unending source of subject matter that I can use to express the spiritual. In each, however, I am most concerned with capturing nature isolated from human elements in order to allow the viewer to feel a sense of discovery and solitude.
I currently live in San Jose, California with my husband where I studied art at San Jose State University. I am actively involved with a visual arts ministry at Peninsula Bible Church in Cupertino, California which has allowed me opportunities to find my creative voice in expressing my faith through my art. Before studying art, I had gone to a couple of ministry training schools believing that I would find my purpose in being an international missionary. However, what I discovered was that my dream involved a much more creative ministry than a bible college could provide me training for.
